Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Son Heung-min who had missed Bayer's 3-0 Champions League playoff victory over Lazio when he flew to London. Sporting director Rudi Voller has confirmed the Korean's move, but denied that the deal is already close and final.
"There is a request and there are talks, but nothing is done. Son would not have played today anyway -- he was sick at the weekend already. At this moment he is our player," Voller is quoted by Sky Germany.
"I saw many medicals in this business where there was no deal afterwards. We will try to reach an agreement, but only under our conditions," he added.
Reports suggested that both clubs have agreed on a €30 million deal and a medical already took place ahead of the transfer.
The 23-year-old South Korean international has scored 21 goals in 62 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen after transferring to the BayArena in 2013 from Hamburg.
