According to Sky Sports, Manchester City remain in advanced talks with Wolfsburg over Kevin De Bruyne's transfer, but the deal has yet to be finalized.
Wolfsburg's sporting director Klaus Allofs has claimed that a final agreement has yet to be reached between the two camps. It also reported that it's possible that the City and the Wolves will continue their negotiations in Monaco as both clubs will be present for the Champions League group phase draw.
"We always said that we would deal with this in a professional manner. It's not our wish to rush it, we want everybody to come out as a winner at the end." said Allofs.
"But I can again inform you that it's not true that he's going. At this point in time, he's not going to Manchester City.
"It's quite possible [discussions could continue in Monaco]. We do have our ideas in mind and we have been in correspondence but of course it's quite possible that we get together in Monaco tonight.
"We have agreed to come to a solution with these negotiations but we haven't got there yet.
"Over the last year there's been lots of talks with him to try to get him stay at the club and there have been negotiations with Manchester City about possibly transferring.
"It's in the interest of the player and the team but foremost we have to think about the club. We are not working under pressure, we have a clear vision and that's what we are working on.
"If negotiations don't match our plans, then Kevin will still be our player for the coming season which I have to be honest would suit me."
A private jet is said to be on standby to fly De Bruyne from Germany to Manchester for his medical if an agreement has been reached. The City are said to be willing to sign the Belgian international midfielder for nearly £59 million.
De Bruyne joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea on January 2014 for £18 million.
