According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, free agent forward David West agreed to sign with the San Antonio Spurs.
West will be the latest acquisition for the Spurs, who started the free agency with a bang. They have recently retained Tim Duncan, Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green and topping it with a LaMarcus Aldridge deal.
As early as now, Gregg Popovich's side is being dubbed as the favorites to win the 2015-16 NBA title. The Western team will be looking to duplicate their accomplishment last year when they beat the then Lebron James' led Miami Heat.
The former Indiana Pacers power forward seemingly can't refuse the idea of getting his first championship. West reportedly declined a $12.6 million option to continue playing for the Pacers this coming season and instead sign the $1.5 million veteran minimum in San Antonio.
The 34-year-old still plays respectably for his age, recording an average of 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 28.7 minutes for the Pacers in 2014-15.
Can West finally nab the missing piece in his NBA career?
