ESPN pulls Curt Schilling after offensive tweet

ESPN has pulled baseball analyst Curt Schilling from its coverage of the Little League World Series following his offensive tweet comparing Muslims and Nazi-era Germans.

Schilling tweeted an image of Adolf Hitler comparing the number of Nazi sympathizers in Germany to the percentage of modern Muslim extremists. Both images were seen in Twitter and Facebook however it was deleted after a few minutes.

In a statement, ESPN has called the comments “completely unacceptable.”

He has been removed from this week’s coverage of the Little League World Series “pending further consideration.”

This was not the first time that Schilling has caused controversy on Twitter. In November, he spent four hours debating the theory of evolution with Twitter users.
