Despite reports linking him with a move away from Sampdoria, Brazilian-born Italian footballer Eder will not go anywhere according to the Blucerchiati president Massimo Ferrero.
The 63-year-old Italian insisted that the club refused to lose the striker and would only sell him for an amount "a man would sell his wife."
"I’ll never sell Eder," the animated principal informed Radio Radio.
"I've already said that, and I’ll repeat it to infinity. In football, if a President comes in with a substantial figure, everything is for sale, but for now Eder is not.
"Well, of course [I’d sell] for €20m, but for that a man would sell his wife."
Aside from keeping Eder, Ferrero also confirmed that he would want to retain Roberto Soriano, though it won't be without difficulty.
"I’m trying to keep him, but there’s a clause in his contract. Roberto is like a son, I want to keep him. There will be a few surprises."
