Rumors about the Clueless musical has been circulating around for a while now. However, this time it's official! It's truly heading to Broadway!
Amy Heckerling, who wrote and directed the original movie confirmed the news in an interview with the Entertainment Tonight.
"I've written what they call the 'book,' and it's a jukebox musical." Heckerling said.
The 'jukebox musical' is totally underway headed Rock of Ages director Kristin Hanggi and produced by the same people behind the original Into the Woods.
For those who don't know, since it will be a jukebox musical, existing songs will be featured instead of an original score. Chosen songs are not yet disclosed, but it might include choices like Jill Sobule’s "Supermodel" and No Doubt’s "Just a Girl."
Who's excited for the remake of this classic? Hands up!
