After beating Chemnitzer 2-0, Borussia Dortmund will continue their DFB-Pokal campaign in the second round.
The Chemnitz, Saxony-based club started the game on a high note, but they were soon being trampled by their unquestionably dominant top flight opponents. The hosts play in Germany's third division with team captain Mathias Hanel and head coach Karsten Heine.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the opener and gave his squad the lead in the 25th minute. He was able to sneak past BVB's defence and beautifully stoked Henrik Mkhitaryan's cross.
Chemnitzer's hopes continued to crumble when at the 82nd minute Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan changed roles and converted yet another goal at the right-hand post, making it a 2-0 victory.
The Westphalians have won the cup in 2011-12, and were given the opportunity to gain it back last season.. However, they eventually lost 3-1 at the hands of Wolfsburg.
