The 39-year-old Tim Duncan confirms that he will return to play in the NBA next season.
The San Antonio Spurs veteran will play in his 19th season in the NBA, and will chase his sixth championship ring with the organisation.
"Finally had a chance to talk with [Spurs coach Gregg Popovich]," Duncan said.
"I'll be on the court next year."
Duncan averaged 13.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last season, and has now competed in 1,572 games and 241 contests in the post-season.
