Tennis Australia admits that they are hoping to hold talks with Bernard Tomic which could see him return to the team for the Davis Cup semi-finals.
The 22-year-old was left out of the squad after an incident at a hotel where he was omitted from the squad after the dispute.
Steve Healy, the Tennis Australia president said "We think Tomic's criticisms are unjustified - he needs to hear that. He needs to get some detail and we want to bring him back into the fold.
"I think the important thing to understand is he's had fantastic support from Tennis Australia and we want him to understand and appreciate that and then welcome him back into Davis Cup."
