Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini reportedly flew out of the country to meet with Manchester City to negotiate about Edin Dzeko.
According to some Twitter posts, fans had spotted Sabatini boarding a 21.41 flight from Munich to Manchester. This sparked speculations that the forthcoming personal talk has been moved to an earlier date. The director has already confirmed that La Maggica are looking to acquire the services of the Bosnian international forward.
The sudden change of plans can be because of City's recent £49m agreement with Liverpool striker Raheem Sterling. This development will lessen Dzeko's room in the squad which can positively affect Roma's bid.
Stadio Olimpico side is looking to sign the 29-year-old before the team fly out for their pre-season tour in Australia. Reports suggested that Roma will be paying €15m for Dzeko rather than the original €20m price-tag.
Dzeko will be given a five-year deal worth €4.5m per season if he chooses to join Roma.
