Rafinha called out all Bayern Munich fans to be patient and give newly signed Douglas Costa time to adjust and familiarize himself with the club and the league.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder completed his transfer to the German giants from the Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk last week. The five-year contract is reportedly worth £21m which will tie him to the Allianz Arena until 2020.
"Douglas Costa is a quality player, but with all due respect to the Ukrainian league and Shakhtar, Bayern are a different world, and Bundesliga opponents are better, more dynamic, more physical and quicker," the defender told the club's official website.
"He'll spot that straight away. We'll certainly have to give him time to settle in."
Costa recently represented Brazil in the Copa America tournament where he made a lone goal against Peru.
