The music industry decided to change how it tracks weekly sales. Instead of the usual Monday through Sunday range, they modified it to Friday to Thursday in order to get more accurate numbers.
With the recent rules being implemented over the weekend, Nielsen Music released the first Billboard 200 albums chart impacted by the new tracking practice.
The newly revealed July 25-dated chart was kind of similar to the July 18 results. This hasn't affected just by the 11-day tracking frame, but also because there were few albums released between July 6 and 9.
To lead the new Billboard 200, rapper Meek Mill came at the very top spot with his Dreams Worth More Than Money. Nicki Minaj's beau has also previously topped the July 18 chart and maintained it to garner 307,000 sales for the following week
Taylor Swift's 1989 was a runner-up, followed by Miguel's Wildheart which dropped from the No.2 to 3. Ed Sheeran's X sat comfortably at No.4, while soundtrack of the Magic Mike XXL climbed five slot up to No.5.
