FIBA Hall of Fame to include Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan to be inducted into FIBA Hall of Fame
The International Basketball Federation announced the list of great basketball contributors who will be inducted on September as part of its Hall of Fame Class of 2015, and it includes 'His Airness' Michael Jordan.

Arguably the greatest player of all time, Jordan also won gold with the Team USA in 1984 at Los Angeles, and was part of the famed Dream Team in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. And as a former Chicago Bulls guard, he is already a part of the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2009, after having six championship titles, six Finals MVPs, and five conference MVPs in the NBA.

Complete list of FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2015 inductees are as follows:
  • Michael Jordan - USA
  • Anne Donovan - USA
  • Ruperto Herrera Tabio - Cuba
  • Sarunas Marciulionis - Lithuania
  • Antoine Rigaudeau - France
  • Vladimir Tkachenko - Russia/Ukraine
  • Jan Stirling - Australia
  • Robert Blanchard - France
  • Noah Klieger - Israel
"We are very honored to announce the illustrious 2015 Class of the FIBA Hall of Fame. These nine individuals are great personalities who have experienced tremendous success on and off the court. Just as important, they also stand out for the character they have displayed and the countless efforts they have made to help promote our sport. We look forward to honoring them." FIBA President Horacio Muratore is quoted by FIBA.com.

Jordan may be the most famous among this bunch, but as stated by FIBA these inductees have a total of 20 Olympic and FIBA medals between them.
