The reigning world champion Chen Long made a great comeback to win the men's singles title at the Taiwan Open badminton championships in Taipei Arena.
China's world No.1 surprisingly dropped the first game against world No. 8 Chou Tien Chen, who had a great start in front of his home crowd. However, Long fought back and recovered strongly. After the opener, he steamrolled his opponent 15-21, 21-9, 21-6.
The Yonex Open title is the 26-year-old's fourth title of the season. He also won the All England, Malaysian Open and Australian Open. He will be competing next in the World Championships in Jakarta next month.
Meanwhile, it was a battle between Long's compatriots in the women's side. World No. 8 Wang Yihan thrashed fourth ranked Li Xuerui 21-10, 21-9 to claim the title.
