Sven Ulreich has completed his transfer from VfB Stuttgart to Bayern Munich. The 26-year old who signed for an undisclosed fee, agreed to a three-year contract with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
"I was looking for a new challenge after many years with Stuttgart. FC Bayern is exactly the right place for me to be," Ulreich was quoted on the club's official website.
"I'm really looking forward to the whole team and all the new things I'm set to experience here. I want to make a contribution to our success and will always be there when called upon."
This recent development may trigger the departure of Pepe Reina who is reportedly being linked to a return to Napoli.
Manuel Neuer is still the top choice for the club, but with the arrival of the former Germany Under-21 international, his position may also be on the line.
