MotoGP heads to Mugello

MotoGP2015  Round 6

Ducati's Andrea Iannone confirmed that he was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder after crashing during an in-season test prior to the French GP earlier this month, but it won't stop him from racing at Mugello.

"On Sunday I will race at Mugello but it's going to be difficult for me to be 100 percent fit," Iannone said.

"A couple of days ago I stopped taking painkillers and yesterday I did an MRI scan.

"Unfortunately they found a hairline fracture at the tip of my funny bone, and to be sincere that was a bit of a nasty surprise.

"The swelling still causes me a lot of pain and I am continuing to do laser therapy in an attempt to get it to go down as soon as possible.

"In any case, I'll have to grit my teeth like I did at Le Mans, because it's far too important for me and for Ducati to have a good race in front of the Mugello fans."

Meanwhile, Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa head to Mugello hoping to snatch a victory.

In Le Mans, Marc finished 4th place and his teammate, Dani Pedrosa, fresh back from injury and finished French MotoGp 16

Marquez has been victorious in Mugello in all three classes – 2014 in MotoGP, 2011 in Moto2 and 2010 in 125cc. Dani, celebrates eight podium finishes in Mugello including two victories – 2010 in MotoGP, 2005 in 250cc.
