Gunners seek for the top 2 spot
A
win against Swansea City will help Arsenal to move closer to the
highest league finish in a decade. Arsene Wenger's side remains in a
battle for the second place with Manchester City. Though we can already
conclude that Arsenal have their Champions League safety, but can they
actually make it to the second place?
The Gunners have been in their strong form off late, unbeaten in their last
10-matches in the league, and they are also active in the FA Cup where they
have reached the finals for the second consecutive year.
"We feel we have made progress in our consistency, our quality and our
stability, that is what we want to continue and I believe it is
important to finish as close as possible to Chelsea and come out of the
season and think we are ready to challenge next season." Wenger said.
Meanwhile, Swansea are set to welcome striker Bafetimbi Gomis back after missing three games with a hamstring problem. On the other hand, Nelson Oliveira will be sidelined with an ankle injury.
It
will be remembered that last November 2014, Swansea City fought hard on
a rain drenched field to beat the Gunners 2-1.Thanks to Gylfi
Sigurðsson and Gomis who came from behind against Alexis Sanchez' goal.
And this May 12, 03:00 (GMT+8) at Emirates Stadium we will be
witnessing if this match will go in favour of Arsenal or not.
Arsenal
will be without the service of Aaron Ramsey after sustaining a blow to
the leg at Hull City, while forward Danny Welbeck is also a doubt in
this match.
