Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson urges goalkeeper David de Gea to give Manchester United a season before leaving for Real Madrid.
Many speculations have been circulating that the keeper is eyeing to join the La Liga giants, moreover, the Premier League season opener match of the Red Devils against Tottenham Hotspur, in which de Gea was left out because he unfocused, added fuel to the flame of his transfer rumours.
Yet, despite these rumours, Robson claims that the club are not yet willing to let go of de Gea, "the club weren't prepared to release him for another year", he says.
Robson also insists that de Gea should imitate Cristiano Ronaldo, who delayed his move to Real Madrid by staying one season with Manchester United.
"Ronaldo went about it in a professional way, had a great season for us then got what he said was a dream move. If that's the case and that's what David has to do, then that's what David has to do," Robson concluded.
