Floyd
Mayweather Jr vs Andre Berto fight is happening in less than one
month. The fight most people wanted will not happen. Although Berto
is a formidable foe, many pundits think the fight, which will take
place on September 12, lack star power which a rematch with Manny
Pacquiao could amply offer.
There
is nothing other pro boxers can do right now but to wait for the
Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Andre Berto fight. Their desire to square off
on the ring with the undefeated American fighter should also be put
aside for good as Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe insisted
the fight with Berto will be Floyd's last.
"Here's
a guy who's made well over a half-billion dollars, doing it his way,
and he can ride off into the sunset after this," Ellerbe said.
"That's
a fact. This is Floyd's last fight. I'm not trying to sell it that
way. This is going to be his last fight. And the fans get a chance to
see Floyd in a very, very exciting fight with a guy that we know is
coming to fight."
If
he does retirement, Floyd Mayweather Jr will leave a legacy boasting
47 wins, zero loss.
