As
you have heard by now, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set for another fight
on September. After being called out by several boxers, he chose
someone who was quiet all those times, Andre Berto. A lot of fans
were surprised by this pick by Pretty Boy. Amir Khan, who was the
most persistent suitors of Floyd Mayweather Jr since day one has a
different reaction though.
For
the British boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr not choosing him as his
opponent in next fight only shows the latter's cowardice.
“He’s
100 per cent scared,” Khan told in an interview with Gulf News
while in Dubai this week. “I think Mayweather knows that I’d give
him the hardest fight of his career and probably beat him.
“If
Mayweather thought it was going to be an easy fight, it would have
happened a long time ago.”
Amir
Khan went on to explain why Floyd Mayweather Jr is dodging his
challenge. Khan said Pretty Boy knows well that he got the skills and
techniques to counter Floyd's defensive fighting style.
“Mayweather
knows, stylistically, that I am the worst fight for him, because my
hand speed, movement, skill, accuracy and power, is not what he
needs. So Mayweather will take the easy fight and fight Berto instead
of me because he knows Berto won’t give him any problems, whereas
Amir is young and hungry.”
