Wolfsburg looking to extend Kevin De Bruyne's contract

Earlier this month, Kevin De Bruyne confirmed that Manchester City has been in touch with him for a possible transfer bid. News linking him with a move to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also surfaced.

To fend off these reports, Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has said that the team would be talking with the Belgian national's agents for a new deal and this would be the club's top priority.

"As soon as I'm back at the office, I will make an appointment with Kevin De Bruyne's agents." Allofs informed German news outlet Bild.

Wolfsburg to offer Kevin De Bruyne a new contract
De Bruyne who was voted as Bundesliga’s player of the season played a major role in Wolfsburg's league campaign, having a record of 10 goals and 20 assists. He was also a crucial piece in the club's German Cup title run.

Dubbed as one of the finest outfield players in the Bundesliga, the former Chelsea player will be beneficial for the Wolves, prompting them to offer a reported £100,000 per week to lure him to stay at the Volkswagen Arena.

It is remained to be seen if the 23-year-old will choose to extend his contract with his current club or opt to play in the Premier League once again.
