Ross Brawn could revive Formula 1 - Christian Horner

Red Bull boss Christian Horner believes that his former rival Ross Brawn could help reform Formula 1.

Horner has been critical of F1 this season, with Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg dominating proceedings.

Red Bull finished 10th and 12th in the latest Grand Prix in Austria, and Horner believes that Brawn's involvement would revive the sport.

"We need someone independent, someone not currently involved - like a Ross Brawn - who understands the business, understands the challenges to write the specification for what a Formula One car should be," said Horner.

"We have gone too far and it is too complicated and we need to bring it back to basics."
