Three weeks ahead of the 2015 All-Star Futures Game, the Major League Baseball has announced the rosters for the festivities. The annual event will be held at the Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park on July 13 at 3pm ET.
Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com said that among chosen are 23 players who are currently on the top 100 prospects list.
The 50 prospects in the United States and the World rosters is led by Washington Nationals pitcher Lucas Giolito and Chicago Cubs catcher Kyle Schwarber. The 20-year-old Giolito who is set to appear in his second consecutive All-Star feels honored to be a part of it once again.
"It definitely means a whole lot," said Giolito.
"I had a ton of fun last year. I'm looking forward to going again and hopefully performing a little better in the game than I did last year," he added referring to his game-tying home run last year.
