According to reports, Inter Milan have stepped up talks with Chelsea for Juan Cuadrado, as Mohamed Salah will stay at Fiorentina, or get Napoli’s Dries Mertens.
Inter had been hoping to make a deal with Salah on-loan with option to buy if the Egyptian midfielder reject to extend at Viola.
The reports suggest Salah will commit to Fiorentina, including a permanent transfer for €18m.
In this case, Inter turned their attention back towards Cuadrado – who is currently playing for Chelsea.
The Colombian star arrived in Chelsea last Januray and through then it appears that the 27-year-old midfielder struggle to settle in at Stamford Bridge after arriving.
Inter are offering to take Cuadrado on loan with mandatory option to buy in 2016.
Crucially, Chelsea seem open to that proposal and can enter more intensive negotiations.
Meanwhile other reports says that Roberto Mancini has a third option in the form of Napoli winger Mertens.
The Belgium international is expected to move on this summer, as he does not fit into new Coach Maurizio Sarri’s plans.
