After his father has been spotted wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt in his speech at a church, Dwyane Wade is now reportedly in contact with the LA Lakers.
Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated has tweeted that with Wade's contract with the Heat currently undecided, the three-time NBA champion might consider a move to Los Angeles.
"While many execs still see Wade/Heat as contract saber rattling, a Wade option will be the Lakers. Mutual interest, per league sources." the senior writer wrote.
"Hard to see LA offering Wade a better chance to win than Miami, especially in the West. But it is LA, and they do have money to burn."
It would be interesting to see a tandem between two alpha males, Wade and Kobe Bryant. These two rivals are already way past their prime, but both still have the determination to win and what it takes to carry a team.
Dwyane Wade who was drafted by the Miami Heat as the 5th overall pick in 2003 is turning 34 next season. Nonetheless, he is still one of the most productive shooting guards in the league provided that he's healthy. He had an average of 21.5 points and 4.8 assists per game in his last 62 games.
