LeBron James pulled off another magnificent output in the Cleveland
Cavaliers’ game against the Golden State Warriors. He finished the third
installment of the 2015 NBA Finals with 40 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.
He steered the Cavs to a 2-1 series lead as they ended the game 3 with a 96-91
scoreline.
The Western team didn’t go without a fight. Stephen Curry
and his team trimmed a once 20-point lead down to one with about 2:05 minutes
left to play. However, with Matthew Dellavedova’s continuous superb play, the
Cavaliers were able to hold their ground in their home court.
The Aussie converted a crucial three-point play followed by
a three-pointer by James and a charity by Tristan Thompson. With 1:31 left,
Cavs remained at the top with 88-80.
Regular season MVP later cut the deficit to 94-91 as he made
another splash before James hit two sure free throws prior to the final buzzer.
Once again Dell Curry’s son had a dismal start. He was able
to respond, but came too late with 27 points and a seven 3-pointers. The other
Splash brother Klay Thompson finished with a mere 10 points and a single assist.
Asked if he can keep up his monstrous number, Cleveland’s
prodigal son said, "I don't know if I can continue to put up these type of
numbers but I know I'll continue to lead these guys every single night.”
At the press conference LeBron was also quick to praise his tough
‘sidekick.’
"If there's a ball on the ground, he's going to be the
first guy on the ground," James said of Dellavedova. "He showed up
multiple times tonight. He's huge. He's huge for our team.
"He gives us that grit, that grit that we need. He
gives us everything until that tank is empty, and he has a small little reserve
tank that he continues to work through."
