Miroslav Klose will be out of action until October

Miroslav Klose has been ruled out  until October, while Lazio teammates Lucas Biglia and Filip Djordjevic are improving.

“Klose is coming from a lesion to the femoral bicep, so for around 10 days he’ll only have physiotherapy, then based on the response will start doing something in the gym,” said chief medic Roberto Bianchini.

“It’ll be very difficult to see him on the field before the end of September. We are working as always, but we have to see how the situation develops.

“With Djordjevic we are trying to get the bruising down around the old fracture and there’s positive news for him, as he’s working a little more each day in training.

“Fortunately we have this break for international duty, so we hope to have him back for the game against Udinese.

“Biglia is feeling better and the tests ruled out major injuries such as problems in the joints or bones. The presence of bruising made it difficult to ascertain the extent of the muscular lesion.

“We’ve given him seven days to rest and undergo physiotherapy to help the bruising go down, then towards the start of next week we’ll perform more tests to be certain how bad the damage is.

“The break for international duty will also be important for him. The same goes for Federico Marchetti, who is doing small training moves, but has to avoid twisting.”
