Russian tennis player, Margarita Gasparyan won her first WTA title by beating Patricia Maria Tig of Romania 6-3, 5-7, 6-0 in the Baku Cup final.
The unseeded Russian had not won a match at WTA main draw level in her career before enjoying a strong showing in Azerbaijan - and she maintained her form to beat qualifier Tig.
Gasparyan served for the match when up 5-4 in the second set but was broken back however, she dominated the final set to wrap up the win in 2 ½ hours.
"It's been an amazing tournament for me." Gasparyan said.
