Andy Murray says that he is confident of success in US Open as he prepares for the hard court season.
The world number three returns to the ATP Tour, though his last appearance was at theWimbledon in the Washington Open. Murray claims that his form is on good shape as he bids for success ahead of the US Open, the stage of his first major triumph in 2012.
"One of the things I spoke about at the beginning of the year was consistency. That has been a positive," Murray said.
"The year as a whole, there has been some progress. Hopefully I get on a good run now on the hard courts to the end of the year.
"I haven't actually hit a ball on a hard court since Miami. That has been four or five months. This morning was the first time that I started to feel more comfortable on the courts, get used to them again."
