With the current situation in Forward Racing, it is believed that Aprilia is keen to acquire the services of Stefan Bradl.
Recent reports stated that despite having to miss the next MotoGP at Indiana, Forward is still keen to retain their agreements with all of its riders. Current troubles in the Italian team stemmed out of the arrest of their principal Giovanni Cuzari.
Although team manager Marco Curioni is confident that the team can be back into action at the Brno circuit, sponsors are reportedly backing out and the riders might follow.
One name stand out and it's Bradl, who was supposed to return to MotoGP racing at Indianapolis following a hand injury. He is being considered to fill the currently vacant second seat with Alvaro Bautista. Despite his first-half injury he is considered as a valuable asset.
Asked on how they are coping with the possibility of drivers opting for other teams, a spokesperson from Forward Racing was unable to clear the issue saying, "in this difficult situation for the team we are open to find an agreement with the riders, but at the moment nothing is official."
Meanwhile, Curioni has told GPOne.com that deal with a rival team could be beneficial.
"Should there be such an eventuality, we will seek an agreement with the riders. This would also enable the team also save some money."
