A week ago, Chris Doohan, son of James Doohan, who portrayed Star Trek: The Original Series' Commander Montgomery Scott tweeted that the reboot for the Star Trek franchise has started filming and it will be entitled Star Trek Beyond.
This raised a lot of comments and reactions from the series' fans.
However, just to confirm what was already circulating around the internet, director Justin Lin tweeted a picture of the famous delta shield on a retro sleeve patch that makes you remember the 60's film. His caption says, "Let the next Starfleet voyage begin! #StarTrekBeyond #LLAP." This practically formalized the movie title, right?
Even after Lin's statement that the new film won't be largely based on the original and that, "it's all new and fresh," a lot of moviegoers are still anticipating its connection with the first installments.
