McGinn signs one-year-contract with Lightning

Lightning sign forward McGinn to one-year contract
Tampa Bay Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced the signing of forward Tye McGinn to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 24-year-old Fergus, Ontario native was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010 as the 119th overall pick. He made his NHL debut on January 22, 2013 against the New Jersey Devils. He stayed with the Flyers for two seasons where he had set a career high of four goals before being traded to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a third round pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

The left winger skated in 51 games last season where he made two goals and seven points. He began the 2014-15 season with the Sharks and played 33 games with them. However, last March he was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Coyotes where he finished the rest of the term.
