Manny
Pacquiao's long streak to boxing dominance would have not happened if
not for his consumption of performance-enhancing drugs, this is what
retired boxer Paul Malignaggi thinks.
A
few weeks ago, the “Magic Man” was all over the news for accusing
the eight-division champ of using prohibited drugs to help him in his
career. Pacquiao made history a few years ago by capturing titles
from different divisions, a feat Malignaggi is skeptical about. He
thinks Pacman's run was aided by PEDs.
Despite
the flak and hate comments he received, Malignaggi insists he stands
by his opinion and it is a product of his high boxing IQ.
"I
stand by my comments on Manny Pacquiao. I feel like what I've stated
is the case,” Malignaggi said in the interview.
“I
have an educated opinion behind my reasoning of why I feel that way.
I didn't just come out of it and pull it out of my ass. There has
been a lot of great fighters in my generation and past generations. I
didn't just single out Manny Pacquiao for a certain reason. I singled
out Manny Pacquiao because to me it was very clear that there was
something very fishy about him,” the former IBF Light Welterweight
and WBA Welterweight Champion said in an interview with Radio Rahim.
"I'm
allowed to make my opinions. I'm allowed to speculate, especially
with what I know about boxing. My boxing IQ is far superior to anyone
else that I ever speak to. I'm very confident in my boxing IQ. I'm
very confident in the things I see. I've seen a lot of great fighters
and I've never said anything about them - in regard to what I've said
about Manny Pacquiao."
Manny
Pacquiao is yet to respond in Malignaggi's accusation.
They should settle this in a court but of course, Malignaggi is
already retired. So, you be the judge.
