Korea keep mixed team title at Universiade Gwangju 2015

Korea Retain Mixed Team Title
Once again Korea dominated the mixed team championship at Universiade Gwangju 2015. They had a commanding victory with a 3-0 comprehensive win over China.

The L2 Final between India and Great Britain, which ended 3-2 in favor of the former is believed to be the most exciting tie of the day. Switzerland also fought past Hong Kong 3-0 in the L3 Final.

China who was packed with players who recently won few World Super Series-level had a stunning start. Zhang Wen/Ou Dongni took the opening game of their Mixed Doubles match against Kim Gi Jung/Shin Seung Chan. But, the Koreans made a remarkable comeback cruising through 15-21 21-17 21-7 to give them their first point.

In the Men's Singles, Hong Kong champion Son Wan Ho was too much for Gao Huan. It only took him 31 minutes to trample his opponent.

Korean mega duo Lee Yong Dae and Ko Sung Hyun played against Zhang Wen/Wang Yilv in the Men’s Doubles. The Chinese tried to put up a fight, but the Koreans proved to be too strong for them, 21-19 21-8 in 28 minutes.
