Reports suggested that Inter Milan's forward Xherdan Shaqiri has agreed to a transfer to Bundesliga club Schalke 04 after declining an offer from Stoke City.
The 23-year-old arrived to Giuseppe Meazza grounds just early this year through a loan from Bayern Munich with mandatory option to buy for €16m. However, things didn't come into life as he is not part of head coach Roberto Mancini’s plan.
Sky Sport Italia reported that the Swiss international has certainly rejected a move to Stoke, but he is prepared to return to the German league with Schalke 04.
"We are still waiting," Stoke assistant manager Mark Bowen is quoted by The Stoke Sentinel.
"There is a limit to how long we can wait, but we are hopeful and still waiting, it's as simple as that.
"You can push, push, push, but there is a balance between doing that and giving him the time to make the right decision for himself. They have to want to sign."
