When playing in front of your home crowd, you'd expect you'd be getting the loudest cheers, but that's not the case with the Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.
As part of the 2015 All-Star festivities, Dalton took part in the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game and got booed. Yes, you've read that right. It seemed like the 27-year-old Texan isn't well-loved in Cincinnati.
The reason behind the not so pleasant reception could be blamed for Dalton's inability to perform well in the playoffs. He had four playoff appearances and 40 wins in his four years with the Bengals.
Dalton appeared with a number of celebrities who took part at the event, but upon his entrance the cheers were evidently mixed with boos.
"I'm not worried about it," Dalton said about the incident. "Everybody has got an opinion. It doesn't really matter. It comes with it. Everybody has their opinion here. There's a lot of support and that's all that matters."
Huge support definitely came Dalton's way when he hit two of the longest home runs of the night in his following at bats.
The Bengals will open training camp in July 31 and Dalton will attempt to nab his first NFL title since being drafted in 2011.
