Last week Ilkay Gundogan confirmed that he will continue playing for Borussia Dortmund despite months of speculation that he was being targeted by Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal.
"I'm happy that we finally have clarity and I can continue playing football for Borussia Dortmund," he told Sky Sports News. "I'll turn my focus immediately to preparation – in August we want to attack fully again."
However, a recent report by La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the Germany national midfielder is still undecided with his future in the club and AC Milan have emerged as a new rival to acquire the 24-year-old.
Gundogan's new deal with the Bundesliga side will expire in 2017 and reportedly Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is planning to match Dortmund's €25m to acquire Gundogan.
The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen their midfield after a frustrating 2014-15 campaign.
