Jorge Lorenzo secured his third successive Grand prix in a row, after triumphing in Mugello Circuit, leading from the first lap right to the end to cut the gap in the standings to just six points against Valentino Rossi
Meanwhile Valentino Rossi finished on the third place, Andrea Iannone fought hard to finished second on the podium.
Marc Marquez, on the otherhand suffered a severe blow to his hopes of another world title, as he crashed out while contesting for a top-three finish.
