Kento Momota made an exciting comeback against Hong Kong’s Hu Yun in the men’s singles beating the Hong Kong stars 21-17, 16-21, 21-15. With this victory he became the latest Japanese to win a men's singles Superseries title.
“There will not be pressure on me, instead I think I will be more confident for more tournaments after this win,” Momota said.
Sun Yu won women’s single as she saw off Tai Tzu Ying 13-21, 21-19, 20-22 in the finals. While unseeded Indonesians Pratama Angga and Ricky Karanda made an impact as they beat number five seeds Fu Haifeng and Zhang Han.
