Floyd
Mayweather Jr Will Not Retire After Fight With Berto Says Freddie
Roach
Floyd
Mayweather Jr will have more fights after his bout with Andre Berto
on September 12, says Freddie Roach. Floyd's camp previously said
that the undefeated American fighter will have his last fight against
current WBA Welterweight Interim Champion in Las Vegas.
"Here's
a guy who's made well over a half-billion dollars, doing it his way,
and he can ride off into the sunset after this," Mayweather
Promotions CEO Ellerbe said.
"That's
a fact. This is Floyd's last fight. I'm not trying to sell it that
way. This is going to be his last fight. And the fans get a chance to
see Floyd in a very, very exciting fight with a guy that we know is
coming to fight."
However,
for Manny Pacquiao's trainer, people should not believe it.
“Don't
believe it,” says Roach according to a report by the Daily Mail.
“Floyd will fight on to his 50th. Too much money to be made.
Especially if he fights Manny again.”
A
Floyd Mayweather Jr – Manny Pacquiao rematch is what everyone
requested for the Pretty Boy announced fight with Berto. However, it
has already collapsed just few weeks after their fight when Pacman
claimed he had injury during their match, leading to his defeat.
Floyd did not like his claim.
Freddie
Roach claims had Manny not injured his shoulder, Floyd would have
gotten his first ever loss.
“No
shoulder injury and Manny beats him,” Roach declared.
