Michy Batshuayi is reportedly being pursued by Tottenham Hotspur as the club is looking for an additional striker to support Harry Kane.
It is believed that head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be improving the Lilywhites' offense. It is a priority following the arrivals of Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld. Forward Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor are also both being linked with a move away from the Premier League club.
The Mirror wrote that the Spurs were considering Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, but gave up on him because of the cost. Benteke was valued at £32.5m this summer, while Batshuayi will only cost the team £9m.
The same report stated that the White Hart Lane side was already planning to bid for the Belgian even before Pochettino arrived.
Batshuayi scored 9 goals in his 23 appearances for Ligue 1's Marseille.
