John Green, the author of Paper Towns, defends the star of the film adaptation of his novel, Cara Delevingne through a twitter post.
But Did You Read the Book? Some thoughts on @Caradelevingne, press junkets, and that one disastrous interview. https://t.co/Vlv5p5p7Qf

On July 28, British actress and model Cara Delevinge has been subjected to a disastrous interview on a morning show, Good Day Sacramento, to promote the film. Yet, a supposed happy interview turned awkward since the beginning when the morning show hosts called Delevingne as “Carla” instead of Cara.
In addition to that, the hosts asked her if she actually read the book and if she could relate to her character, Margo. Cara then answered them with a series of sarcastic responses which lead the a co-host to cut the interview short and claiming that Cara was being less interested and suggested she should take a nap.
After a while, Cara explained her side through twitter.
Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour

I work really really hard and love what I do, I don't feel like I need to apologize for being human #sorrynotsorry

John further explains that it was unfair of the hosts to ask Cara if she had read the book.“The question is annoying – not least because her male costar, Nat Wolff, was almost always asked when he'd read the book, while Cara was almost always asked if she'd it,” he said.
Also, John emphasizes that Cara is very admirable and spontaneous, who refuses to stick to the scripts just to survive the long days of press junketry.
“Cara Delevingne doesn’t exist to feed your narrative or your news feed — and that’s precisely why she’s so f–cking interesting,” he added.
