Christian Horner extends contract with Red Bull

Christian Horner to stay at Red Bull
During last week's Austrian Grand Prix, reports emerged suggesting that Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is on the verge of losing his job. He easily denied these claims and insisted that he wasn't worried about his position and he'll do his best to bring the glory back to his team.

To further clear the issue, the 41-year-old former race car driver revealed that he has extended his contract with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

"I didn't lose any sleep over it because it is absolutely not true," he told Sky Sports News.

"I recently signed an extension to my contract with Red Bull, I have a great relationship with Dietrich [Mateschitz] and my goal is very much on getting the team back to the situation we were in 18 months ago.

"It is total rubbish. The thing is not to put too much energy into things like that, but in the world we live in sometimes people from rival teams say things and they get picked up and then a story goes on the internet and it goes from there."

Red Bull have been struggling to be at the top since their domination between 2010-13. The F1 team is currently fourth in the standings.
