After winning the Serie B title last season, Carpi are set to strengthen their line-up by preparing to bid for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, Alberto Gilardino and Marco Borriello.
As they get ready for their first-ever season at the Italy football top flight, Capri want to acquire an experienced centre-forward to help them lead the line.
In a report by Sky Sport Italia, the Modena-based club is considering Liverpool's Borini who is believed to be a surplus at Anfield after his loan spell at Sunderland.
The 24-year-old forward could get his desired starting spot with Capri and push for a place in the Italy squad for Euro 2016.
Lazio are also reportedly eyeing Borini to boost their squad ahead of the Champions League preliminary round.
The Biancorossi also have veteran Gilardino of Guangzhou Evergrande who has just finished his loan stint at Fiorentina and 33-year-old free agent Borriello as options.
