Warriors take Game 1 of the NBA Finals in OT

Steph Curry led his team to win Game 1
Forty eight minutes in four quarters weren't enough for the Golden State Warriors to triumph over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Game 1 of their best of seven series. The regulation time ended tied at 98 therefore going into an overtime.

The Warriors had a slow start, struggling to shoot the basketball. They were held down 29-15 at the opening minutes, but was able to score the last four points of the first quarter. Steph Curry and his teammates were able to complete a 12-2 run following their late first quarter surge and opened the second one in a new light.

The regular season MVP who finished the game with 26 points with only a pair of three-pointers were able to carry his team back and made them lead 41-36 at the 2:58 mark. However, the Cavaliers made a couple of threes to reclaim a 51-48 lead at the halftime.

LeBron James' miss was followed by an Iman Shumpert shot that almost brought their team a win in the regulation period. However, both players were unsuccessful leaving the score to 98 all at the buzzer.

The overtime which closed at 100-108 was a nightmare for the Cavs. Curry made four points on his trips to the free throw line while Harrison Barnes knocked down a three. Their lead was stretched to ten with three combined points by Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green before LeBron made a two-point shot which were Cleveland's only points in the OT. He finished the game with a whooping 44 points in almost forty six minutes of playing time.
