The U.S. Under-19 men's basketball team started their World Championship campaign on a high note with a convincing 103-81 victory over Croatia.
Former Oklahoma prep star Allonzo Trier finished the match with 17 points to help his team nab their first win. Trier is an Arizona signee who played for homeschool OKC Storm and Tulsa NOAH before he headed out of state to complete his high school career.
It was an overall great team effort that gave the U.S. squad a great start. Trier, was just one of the five double-digit scorers for the American side. Incoming Oklahoma State freshman Jawun Evans recorded two rebounds and an assist in his 15 minutes of play.
U.S will be facing Egypt in their second group game.
