Tien Minh, world No 35, is not seeded at the tournament, however according to the draw, Minh will meet Andre Tedjono of Indonesia in the first round.
Another Vietnamese representative, world No 49 Vu Thi Trang, will also compete in Taipei from the qualifying round.
