Fernando Alonso has been given a 20-place grid penalty ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix.
The Spaniard's McLaren-Honda has been fitted with a fifth V6 engine, MGU-H and turbo at the Red Bull Ring, meaning it surpasses the limit of four allowed under FIA rules.
Triggering an automatic 10-place
penalty, and he has been given two further five-place penalties after
new elements were fitted in the car.
Alonso could be given different levels of time penalties depending on how fast he qualifies.
He drove 17th fastest in the first practice session.
