Blackhawks overcame the Tampa Bay Lightning’s best punches in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Chicago scored twice in the final 10 minutes, to overcome a 1-0 deficit and take the first game of the Stanley Cup final from Tampa Bay Lightning.
Tampa face a heavy defeat against Chicago, as the Blackhawks never let the Lightning get too far ahead. Chicago never lost its composure and eventually regained the lead with a third period comeback to take Game 1, 2-1 at Amalie Arena.
Antoine Vermette send Blackhawks ahead 2-1 with 4:34 left in the third period. Tampa turned the puck over in its own zone and Chicago made the young Lightning pay when Vermette fired a shot past Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop.

Late in the third period, Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford made a big save on a Ryan Callahan breakaway. Just a couple minutes later Teuvo Teravainen wristed a shot past Bishop to put the game at 1-1.
Chicago needed a strong effort from Crawford, and the netminder delivered. He stopped 22 of 23 Tampa shots on goal as the Blackhawks tried to overcome the Lightning early.

Tampa came out on fire in this contest, crushing the Blackhawks in puck possession early.
