Bertrand Traore will finally be seeing some action with Chelsea after being granted a work permit to play in England.
Chelsea scouted the young gun when he was a 14-year old playing in the Under-17 World Cup in 2009. During that time he was still being developed by French club Auxerre.
He has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the current Premier League champions on January 2014. However, Jose Mourinho's plan for the Burkinabe footballer was put on hold, when the 19-year old was not allowed to play in England. He had to play the requisite number of games for Burkina Faso to qualify for international clearance.
In the meantime, he had signed on loan for Eredivisie side, Vitesse and played there for 18 months. And now, after being regularly involved with Burkina Faso national football team, Chelsea had reapply his work application and finally became successful.
With the issuance of Traore's work permit, he will now be eligible to play and participate in the Blues' pre-season tour in the Unites States next month.
Traore has made a total of 48 appearances for Vitesse and scored 17 times. He also represented his country 23 times with a couple of goals.
